The new Coast FA Junior Academy is set to resume in September 2020 with the first sixty players to register guaranteed spots in the program. The program was off to a fantastic beginning in the spring of 2020 with six teams competing before COVID forced everything to close. As of August 1st we already have twenty one players committed for the sixty available slots and all coaches have been hired for locations at Socastee, Pawleys Island, Carolina Forest, North Myrtle Beach, Conway and Brunswick County. The Junior Academy program is for boys and girls born after September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2014. The concept of the program is to create a local area league for players and have a paid licensed Coast FA staff coach with each team. “This program is designed for the kid that wants more than the rec league experience but is not ready to commit to out of town travel on the weekends. The teams will be trained in their geographic area and travel locally between locations to play the matches on Saturdays. Our long term goal will be to have ten to twenty teams in every area of Horry, Georgetown and Brunswick Counties. The Junior Academy will better prepare players that wish to pursue a roster spot on our Coast FA Select teams starting in the Under 9 age division (U9) at the tryouts in May 2021 “ said Coast Executive Director Heyward Gulledge. • Tuesday and Friday training sessions each week delivered by a Coast FA staff coach.
• Training times 5:00pm or 6:00pm • Saturday league games delivered by a Coast FA staff coach.
• Registration Fee: $248 per season plus a 35.00 uniform fee. (Fall or Spring). Register for one season at a time.
