Coast teams returned home with four championships and three finalist trophies from the Surf Charleston Shootout over the weekend in scenic Charleston , South Carolina. The teams were blessed with immaculate spring weather and a well-balanced field of teams at the event.

Coast 11 Black Champions (Click for Image) U13 Boys Division…Best showing of the spring season. Allowed only one goal in four matches. “ These boys have worked hard in training for so long and it is starting to show. They fully deserve the championship and I could not be more proud of them “ said Coach Brian Smith.

Coast 15 Black Champions (Click for Image) U9 Boys Division…Dominant offensive display scoring thirty three goals while conceding only two on their way to a perfect 4-0-0 record.

Coast 10 Red Champions  (Click for Image) U14 Boys Division…Also posted a 4-0-0 record for the weekend while claiming a valuable SCYSA National League win. Coach RJ Bass said “ the boys fought hard in the final as they came from behind for a 3-1 result. Proud of the hunger and desire to win despite a thin roster for this tournament. ”

Coast 13 Red Champions  (Click for Image) U11 Boys Division…Tremendous weekend with great competition from Tophat, Wilmington and Daniel Island. “ the squad fought hard and played exciting soccer all weekend. The boys thoroughly deserved to win the championship in the top division of U11. Coach Rocco and I learned a lot from this weekend’s performance and we look forward to the continued development of the team ” said Coach Ross Morgan.

Coast 10 Black Finalists (Click for Image) U14 Boys Division…Lost the final in heartbreaking fashion 0-1 in extra time. Solid tournament for our side but could not find a way through Coastal United.

Coast 11g Red Finalists (Click for Image) U13 Girls Division…Very similar story to the Coast 10 Black where we dropped two close matches to the same team Charleston Soccer Navy North.

Coast 12 Red Finalists  (Click for Image) U12 Boys Division…Four very competitive matches resulted in a runner up weekend. Coach Dimitri Leftis said “ We came up short against a very good Charlotte team however the boys played great soccer to keep possession and shape all weekend. “
